TechBasin Beers is thrilled to be partnering up with the awesome Manchester based startup Sbiffy to celebrate the launch of their new app with a night of frenzied trading, fun and excitement!

On Friday the 25th of January, TechHub Manchester will be transformed into a Wall Street style trading pit floor for 60 minutes of frenzied person driven supply and demand, as guests become buyers and sellers, using Sbiffy to quickly photograph and broadcast to Sbiffy, Twitter and Facebook what they want to buy or have to sell.

Using Sbiffy app or signing in online participants can 'Like' and 'Want' listings to begin messaging each other to negotiate price or terms before choosing a party to complete a deal with.

Trade results will be displayed live at the event. We'll have a webpage projected on the wall with a 60min countdown and participant stats, so that everybody can see and compete to lead the race to completed the most deals within the trade period.

The participant(s) with the most completed deals when trading closes will receive a ‘Sbiffy’ t-shirt each.

*v1 caveat - ONLY iphone users with app can create listings. Online sign-ups can only respond to listings.*

What to trade?

In terms of items to trade on the night we'd love to see a mix of products and services being posted to buy and sell. Examples of these can be seen as follows:

• Products - anything you might have received from santa this christmas thats not exactly your cup of tea but think someone else might appreciate it, or a low value item just to take part with e.g. a Chocolate bar. These items could be traded up and passed between a number of parties within the 60min.

• Services - this could be anything you can think of really, let your imagination run wild, be creative... e.g. Got a beer but need somebody with a bottle opener? OR Spend 2min showing somebody how to activate emoji keyboard on their iphone. Possibilities for what services you can trade are endless!

Points to note:

1. Value - listings can be posted for FREE and MAKE ME AN OFFER so no cash has to change hands.
2. On arrival (before trade starts), we'll ask guests with iPhones to download the app, other smartphone or desktop users to sign-up online at Sbiffy.com
3. Times:

Arrive from - 5pm

Trading opens - 6pm

Trading closes - 7pm

There will be beer on arrival & pizza to hand to help fuel the trading!
